Q. Why did the event change from Speed Seekers LLP/MFBA Event to just the MFBA Event?
A. Legal reasons allowed the event to continue with the sole event organizer to be the club alone.

Q. With the change in organizers will there be a change in the way the event was run in the past?
A. There should not be any change in the style the event had been run. Format and scheduling will remain (for the most part) the same as previous events.

Q. What age can participate in the event?
A. All drivers must be at least 18 years of age and all passengers must be at least 16 years of age.

Q. What time does the action start Saturday?
A. Tech and registration begins at 6:30am and goes until 8:30am

Q. When will we find out what group we are in?
A. Grouping will be updated daily with changes up to the event weekend. (could take up to two weeks for website to update)

Q. When will we get a schedule/times to run Sat. & Sun?
A. Scheduling can be found here.

Q. Where do I get the registration form?
A.  Click the "Event Registration Form" link on the main page and proceed through the next three pages.  Make sure you read, print, and fill out all necessary pages.

Q.  What is the cost of the event?
The costs are as follows:
$255 - One spot, One day
$455 - One spot, Two days
$15 - Saturday Night Dinner off site, one ticket
$5 - Daily spectator fee

Q.  How much track time will I get?
A.  In the past, drivers that had driven in all of their allowed sessions have had as much as 300 miles on track.

Q.  Will passengers be allowed?
A.  Yes, passengers are allowed in the vehicle only in the front seat.  They must have an approved helmet and working seatbelt that fits appropriately.

Q.  Do I have to be a MFBA club member to participate?
A. No, you do not. Anyone is welcome to participate.

Q.  Can I bring friends or family for a ride-along?
A.  Yes you can. Give them a chance to experience the ‘business side” of Road America.  Passengers are allowed in the front passenger seat only and be 16 or older in age.  They must have an approved helmet and a working seatbelt.

Q.  It’s Wisconsin, what if it rains or otherwise?
A.  In the past we have successfully ran in the wet and cold. The weather is monitored closely and if adverse driving weather approaches, we take great care in deciding if the event continues or we have to stop driving for a bit.

Q. What is the refund/cancellation policy?
A. No refunds are given at all unless the event is filled to capacity (approximately 130 cars).
If you have purchased a spot and can't attend the event, it is up to you to re-sell your spot.
When you do so, you must notify the MFBA by emailing us at roadamerica@fbody.us and tell us who is taking your spot.
The new driver will be required to fill out a registration form.

Q. What time do the gates open?
A. The gate will open at 6:15am.

Q. What if I get hungry, is there food available or do I bring my own?
A.  There is a food stand open that serves breakfast in the morning and then warm food all day long. If you want to pack a cooler, that’s OK. Open flame grills are not allowed.  Restrooms will also be open.  No alcoholic beverages allowed on Road America's premises.

Q. If I bring my camera, will I find a good shot?
A.  You bet! We encourage everyone to bring their cameras. There are plenty of places to get great shots from around the track and paddock.

Q. Do I have to drive back into town for gas?

A.  There is a pay via-credit card pump in the paddock that has 100 octane unleaded race gas. For 93 octane, you would have to go into town approximately 2-3 miles.

Q. Where do our cars go between ‘sessions’?

A.  The cars that are participating in the on-track activity, their support vehicles and trailers can park in the competition paddock.

Q. Can I experience the event with a convertible?
A.  Yes, convertibles are allowed, but only convertibles with approved roll bar can participate in the event.

Q.  Do I need to make any special modifications to the car for this event?
A.  No, special modifications are not necessary, just make sure your vehicle meets our tech inspection criteria.  Your judgment is at your own risk, for example, stock brake pads heat up quickly.

Q.  Can any type of vehicle participate in this event?
A.  This event is on a real racetrack, and it is designed for performance and sports-oriented cars. If you are unsure if your vehicle would be proper for this event, please ask us via email:  roadamerica@fbody.us

Q.  I know that if I am driver, I need a helmet - what about my passenger, do they need one too?
A.  Yes, passengers will also need a helmet that meets our requirement.
